NA faces EU in first random hero select Street Brawl match

Night Shift put together a Street Brawl exhibition between NA's Melee Creeps and EU's Abrahams after the community asked to see the regions clash. The series used all-random hero picks and was played on London EU servers.

Map 1

Melee Creeps ran Saiah on Infernus, JonJon on Rem, Scout on Pocket, and DMB on Yamato. Abrahams answered with hoot on Wraith, Dimov on Drifter, saintmxsm on Mina, and together on Vindicta.

Melee Creeps grabbed the opening round, but Abrahams steadied and closed it out 3–2.

Saiah led Melee Creeps at 5 kills, 3 deaths, and 4 assists. For Abrahams, saintmxsm owned the scoreboard at 6/1/8.

Street Brawl's signature quirk showed up right away: buying items between rounds can completely flip how teamfights play. Every round felt like a new puzzle.

Map 2

Same rosters with fresh random heroes, except Tas subbed in for together on Abrahams.

Melee Creeps drew Saiah on Mina, JonJon on Vindicta, Scout on Viscous, and DMB on Pocket. Abrahams got hoot on Drifter, Dimov on Infernus, saintmxsm on Yamato, and Tas on Wraith.

Abrahams came out fast to go up 2–0 in rounds. Melee Creeps pushed back by taking the next two and forcing round 5, but Abrahams held on for another 3–2 win to complete the 2–0 series sweep.

Scout paced Melee Creeps with 4 kills and 4 assists through the first four rounds. We're missing the final-round screenshot, and the one we do have still shows together in the match even though Tas replaced him. It's still useful for checking player builds.

A New Mode's Potential

This set was a solid reminder of why Street Brawl works as a competitive format. The random hero selection keeps things even while still rewarding adaptability, and the round-by-round economy keeps the strategy shifting right up until the final Guardian falls.

EU vs NA Takeaways

NA showed well, pushing both maps to five rounds despite the ping disadvantage on the London servers. It was fun to get an early Atlantic showdown—hopefully we see more of these, ideally on a higher-stakes stage prize money LAN event!

Editor's note

We aren't tracking Street Brawl stats yet. Adding them would affect our primary game mode database. We'll revisit if the community decides this mode has staying power. Stream screenshots are available for anyone curious about specific builds.
