A frighteningly exciting night, with South America making their debut in DLNS with team Requiem who went against YFP for a chance to play against Melee Creeps.
Game 1: Close, but no Baba
Melee Creeps was able to pick up
Baba for the first time tonight, as she was consistently banned in both EU and NA games thus far. This proved to be a fatal mistake for YFP, while they barley held up in laning phase, the lead from Melee Creeps steadily grew until the pigeons came home. LOMEIN had a fantastic game on
Baba, kicking his way to victory as an unstoppable force of not only damage but survivability. While LordNM tried his best with some key afflictions on
Pocket, his team didn't have the means to follow through, leading to a loss for YFP in the first match.
Game 2: You're all just pawns to Saiah
While YFP let Melee Creeps have
Baba in the first match, they learned their lesson taking her out in the first round of bans this game. However, Melee Creeps gave up
Nurse Harrow, which we also hadn't seen previously this night as she was banned first in every game until now. While zirbzy performed well on her, the spectacular healing wasn't cut out to stop Viscount AVG on
Drifter from bleeding them dry. Closely behind, was Saiah on
Solomon, wracking up almost the same amount of damage as the chess master.
Goober got to play one of his signature heroes,
Bebop, landing some key hooks while LordNM did his best to take down objectives as
Celeste, but the powerhouse that is Melee Creeps was too powerful combined and it wasn't enough, leading to their demise on this hallowed week.
