Melee Creeps put up a good fight in both games, but Poppers Pupils managed to sweep them 2-0, beginning their reign of dominance in NA DLNS.

In the challenger match, we had Melee Creeps against Pulsar Esports. While Pulsar Esports was looking strong early, Melee Creeps stepped up their game, took control with their macro, and won the match to go on to face Poppers Pupils in the finals once again.

Game 1: Melee Creeps makes a fatal mistake

Hidden King: Melee Creeps Archmother: Poppers Pupils

Bans: Infernus, Mirage, Haze, Yamato

Melee Creeps was in charge for most of the first match of the series. JonJon had a phenomenal game on Lady Geist (5-4), farming for most of the game to keep him himself ahead of the enemy team and split push during key objectives. This combined with braeden on Celeste (3-2) pushed Melee Creeps to what was looking like a winning game for the team.

With rejuvs on their side, Melee Creeps pushed into Poppers Pupils's base, sieging both of their shrines. However, they overstayed their welcome as AVG on Billy caught them in a pivotal Chain Gang, combo'd with LOMEIN on Bebop's Hyper Beam, eliminating Melee Creeps in what turned into a comeback for Poppers Pupils. While MLC still put up a decent fight after this, League on Pocket manage to get some key afflictions to secure the win for Poppers Pupils.

Game 2: A close back and forth

Hidden King: Melee Creeps Archmother: Poppers Pupils

Bans: Sinclair, Venator, Paige, Rem

Match two turned into an late game tug-of-war between Melee Creeps and Poppers Pupils in one of the most exciting NA matches in recent times. While Poppers Pupils dominated for the first half the game, Melee Creeps swung the odds back in their favor with a mid boss fight that went in their favor, despite not grabbing the rejuvs. Shortly after, they secured mid boss for themself and took control of the game. A few skirmishes later, and Poppers Pupils manage to come back out on top with a team wipe of Melee Creep, where they took advantage of the late game death timers and siege two of MLC's shrines.

As Poppers Pupils were retreating to take mid boss, Melee Creeps caught them and fragged five of their six players, which flipped the game in their favor once more. A comeback was looking highly likely at this stage, as MLC took down PP's shrine and first stage patron, then backed out to reset. However, in what MLC thought was an ambush on AVG, turned into a fatal clash for the team where PP manage to turn it around and wipe out MLC yet again in what would be the deciding team fight of the night to seal MLC's fate. Poppers Pupils took down Melee Creep's patron to win the series shortly after that deciding skirmish.
