Poppers Pupils continues their winning streak in NA DLNS #56

Poppers Pupils once again faced Melee Creeps in the finals of the weekly Deadlock tournament, but MLC didn't have what it takes as PP sweeps them 2-0.

Melee Creeps fought against Pulsar Esports in the challenger's match, which has notable players such as Hydration. Unfortunately for Pulsar Esports, they fell to the tenured team in quick fashion, allowing Melee Creeps to face Poppers Pupils for part of this week's prize pool once again.

Game 1: Poppers Pupils almost throws the game, but wins.

Hidden King: Poppers Pupils Archmother: Melee Creeps

Bans: Bebop, Celeste, Apollo, Silver

Poppers Pupils had a rather dominate laning phase, coming out ahead by over an incredible 10k souls at the 10 minute mark. A big part of this was Saiah on Abrams (5-8) dying three times during this phase, along with his lane partner birdee who was on Rem (2-6) dying once, feeding League's Pocket (10-2). This allowed League to have a head start on a terrifying hero, which snowballed into him harassing other lanes and controlling neutral mobs early on.

Despite an ever growing lead and standard game being played by Poppers Pupils, Melee Creeps was able to swing the economy and game in their favor around the 25 minute mark when Saiah got a pick on Zeno's The Doorman (7-4). This pick turned into a total team wipe on Poppers Pupils's end, which allowed MLC to siege multiple points of PP's base, including a coveted shrine - something that PP had yet to take from MLC. Alas, it wasn't enough, as AVG on Lady Geist (12-5) revived with revenge on the mind and turned things back in Poppers Pupils's favor.

While it was still an uphill battle for Poppers Pupils to regain control at this point, they slowly clawed their way back from what was almost a thrown game, to victory.

Game 2: MLC unleashes JonJon on Pocket, but it isn't enough.

Hidden King: Melee Creeps Archmother: Poppers Pupils

Bans: Abrams, Bebop, Silver, Lady Geist

Melee Creeps tried to shake things up by having their traditional M1 carry, JonJon, pick the spirit heavy hyper carry, Pocket. Pocket is a notoriously difficult mage to play due to his ability kit that revolves around high cooldowns escapes and burst. When played right, Pocket can swing losing battles heavily back in your favor. While JonJon did his best to utilize this hero (and did better then expected), Melee Creeps would also lose this game to Poppers Pupils.

LOMEIN had another incredible game on Celeste (8-5), proving why it is worthy of a first ban or pick against Poppers Pupils. AVG also performed spectacularly again in this short series, going 9-5 on the deadly assassin, Calico. This duo was enough to seal the fate on tonight, landing Poppers Pupils their fourth win a row in DLNS.
