RazielThe challenger match featured Vanguard facing off against the previous reigning champions, Poppers Pupils. With swift work, Poppers Pupils forged through to the finals for a rematch against Melee Creeps to see who would be crowned this week's winner of Deadlock Night Shift NA.
Game 1: Poppers Pupils comes back with a vengeance

Poppers Pupils came into this match warmed up and rearing to go, meanwhile Melee Creeps looked dreadfully cold. Poppers Pupils had a dominate lane phase that continued into the rest of the game. League was the MVP of this game, pulling ahead early and snowballing into the late game on 
Pocket, accruing nearly 60k damage to players alone.
The tricky mage often comes online late into the game, but due to Melee Creeps essentially forfeiting laning phase, he was able to grab key items such as Coldfront and Cultist Sacrifice early for extra burst and farming capabilities. An another exciting force against Melee Creeps this game was LOMEIN on 
Mo & Krill. The crowd control abilities of the dastardly mole creature was too much for MLC to handle, allowing gank after gank to take place.
With these early wins, MLC being out of position constantly and PP capitalizing on that and their overall map macro, it wasn't the swiftest game we've ever seen, but it was a decisive one.

Almost as if there was no gap between the first game and the second, Poppers Pupils continued the momentum to take this game in under 30 minutes.
There isn't much to say or add in terms of commentary when you feed a hyper carry like Pocket for the second time in a row. Melee Creeps at least learned their lesson about LOMEIN's Mo & Krill from the previous gaming, opting to ban it out as their second ban, but it just wasn't enough to get the team close to victory. Overall, it was a steady win for Poppers Pupils, where they didn't have to try anything new or crazy, they simply just had to play the game.
With a talented team like MLC, it seemed like an extremely off night. We will be seeing them back in the challenger's match for next week DLNS to see if they will be able to run it back against Poppers Pupils.
