The Deadlock Night Shift EU #49 started with Buff Enjoyers coming back from a 20k soul deficit against Leviathan to get into the money stage and try to reclaim their crown against Abrahams.

Abrahams vs Buff Enjoyers

Game 1: A resilience battle

For the first game, both teams had very distinctive game plans. Buff Enjoyers went with a team-fight and sustain-focused draft with Lystic's Billy, obikym’s Rem, cosmetical’s Lady Geist, and Zerggy’s Lash. On the other hand, Abrahams tried to play around pickoffs and catching people out of position; they brought Tas' Bebop and Sharyk's Calico.

The game was all back-and-forth, with Abrahams having a better laning phase. However, when Billy came online, Buff Enjoyers started to win the skirmishes around the map and take objectives like the Rift and mid boss. They built a 17k soul lead and saw Abrahams starting to fight back with two good fights in sequence. In the end, with their backs against the wall, Lystic pulled off a play and punished arzo’s Venator and together’s Abrams, breaking the opponent's formation and opening up the last mid boss. With the rejuvs, they marched to Abrahams' base and closed the game.

Game 2: Buff Enjoyers goes into fast and steady mode

Buff Enjoyers decided to get things done fast in the second game. They went with a heavy tempo-control and aggressive composition with vraic’s Apollo, cosmetical’s Mina, and Zerggy’s Lash. Abrahams tried to respond by taking together’s Billy, obikym’s Calico, and saintmxsm’s Sinclair.

The game was all about Buff Enjoyers constantly seeking fights and skirmishes. Abrahams bought into it, but it never worked for them. Fight after fight, kill after kill, Buff Enjoyers were on the hunt all game long. Even with a small soul lead, Buff Enjoyers were so ahead in momentum and objectives that they let the creeps finish the job.

Buff Enjoyers reclaim their crown and put on a phenomenal performance this week. They seem to be two steps ahead of the other EU teams for now.
