FPS Lounge first knocked out Bird with Clock to make it to the finals of this week's #43 to face off against Melee Creeps. Melee Creeps decided to bring in League as a sub tonight as they are still trialing players for their sixth slot.
Game 1: A decisive battle pushed Melee Creeps into Victory
Bans:
Abrams,
Pocket,
Mirage,
Rem
As usual, the laning phase for this game was relatively even with a slight favor for Melee Creeps. At around 12:30m into the match, FPS Lounge managed to take down JonJon's
Warden and Saiah's
Ivy, which allowed them to take one of MLC's Walkers and a Guardian, which put them in a lead. However, MLC came back fighting shortly after, fragging five of FPSL's heroes, only losing four people in the process. This fight was the deciding turning point of the match, as it enabled MLC to take down two of FPSL's walkers 17m into the game. The trade off for the Walkers was FPSL getting Mid Boss, but it wasn't enough to push back against MLC at this point.
Game 2: A steady win for FPS Lounge
Bans:
Abrams,
Pocket,
Mirage,
Rem
FPSL wasn't going to let that loss deter them. They came back with a rather decisive game, showing NA that they do have the talent to win after practicing hard. While FPSL were the first to fall a few times, their macro kept them ahead and they would soon be bullying MLC out of their lanes. All in all, it was a straight forward game with a dominate performance by FPSL throughout the entire match. They managed to only steadily increase their soul lead the further the game went on, making sure MLC didn't have a chance of winning.
Game 3: FPS Lounge capitalizes on Melee Creep's Mistakes
Bans:
The Doorman,
Abrams,
Victor,
Calico
After laning phase, MLC slowly started to gain a lead on FPSL by picking off Guardians, Walkers, and heroes. Everything was going in MLC's favor, getting up to almost a 90% chance to win the match based on historical data. So where did it all go wrong? Saiah on
Paradox got picked off several times, and some of his teammates such as JonJon on
Warden followed along. Despite this, MLC still secured Mid Boss and all 3 rejuvs, but paid the price of two Walkers in return. After that, it was downhill with MLC getting picked off, FPSL flipping the soul lead gap on it's head. They grabbed Mid Boss twice with their newfound power, closing the game out and marking FPSL's third win in DLNS.
