While Melee Creeps had to fight their way back to the finals match against Vanguard, Poppers Pupils was sitting pretty, waiting for their turn to play.
Game 1: Poppers Pupils lets Lomein loose
Hidden King: Melee Creeps Archmother: Poppers PupilsBans:
Mirage,
Bebop,
Mo & Krill,
Sinclair
A steady win for Poppers Pupils, as they took control of this map while letting LOMEIN on
Celeste to do his thing.
While Melee Creeps tried to stay in the game, LOMEIN was left unchecked allowing him to gather impressive farm and snowball out of control. The denial of souls to Melee Creeps gave Poppers Pupils every advantage they needed to take this first game without much issue.
Game 2: Poppers Pupils closes it out
Hidden King: Melee Creeps Archmother: Poppers PupilsBans:
Warden,
Abrams,
Venator,
Apollo
This game turned to be a bit closer, however at the end Poppers Pupils turned the gas on and finished it off. While Melee Creeps played a better game compared to the first match, keeping up in farm, it didn’t pay off in the end when League’s
Pocket was unleashed in team fights.
Unfortunately, Melee Creeps fell behind in player damage despite being on equal footing economy wise. Players such as Zeno on
Viscous and LOMEIN on
Celeste applied additional pressure and damage to Melee Creeps that they couldn’t match and fell to Poppers Pupils for the second week in a row in the DLNS weekly finals.
