AUSKR came back in style, winning APAC X General Cup #3 and seems to be one of the top teams of the region.

The APAC X General Cup #3 was the stage for the return of AUSKR. They formed the team early in the week and already made a really good impression. The roster consists of: Divine Providence (f.k.a. DiscoVirtuoso), ttv Fragmaz, Jai_Stacked (VOTE APOLLO), Bischu, ignore (f.k.a. birdring), hong (f.k.a. Decay).

AUSKR vs OT

Both teams stomped their semifinal games. In the Grand Finals, AUSKR and OT had a very even clash in the first and second games. However, OT seemed to be running on empty for the third game. AUSKR was able to control the pace of the game and get kill after kill around the map. On the other hand, OT struggled until the end to get the team together, losing objectives and seeing the game become unreachable.

The new urn mechanics seemed to favour AUSKR, since they have three former Overwatch League players - birdring, Decay, and Bischu.

Same game, different approach

In the APAC scene, we had some picks that would sound very controversial to NA or EU players. The principal one being Paige, a hero that hasn't shown up in a long time, and today she was even ban-worthy. Calico and Seven showed up too, but didn’t have a big impact.

The APAC scene seems to be growing again, with the comeback of AUSKR and with Deadlock-APAC hosting a tournament almost every week. It would be very interesting to have more opportunities to see APAC teams playing against NA and EU teams.

The next APAC cup is in two weeks!
