Floormen had two steady, calm, and overall textbook games, allowing them to sweep Melee Creeps in this week's DLNS for the NA region.
Game 1: Floormen has a steady win
Floormen played it cool against Melee Creeps in the first round. While the game remained relatively even until the 20 minute mark, after that it was all down hill for Melee Creeps. Floormen managed to grab 3 rejuvs from Mid Boss and dominated the match from there on out.
Melee Creeps had another controversial draft going into game one, picking
Holliday for Saiah, a hero that he has been very comfortable on traditionally and dominating in matchmaking with. Unfortunately that luck did not follow them into this game. While he was able to get a couple picks early on, allowing JonJon to farm solo on
Warden in lane. The strategy was sound, but ultimately it fell short against Floormen.
We're giving MVP of the match to Dimov on
Paradox, the ping difference from EU to NA couldn't deter him from stacking up an impressive 50k of player damage and impactful swaps, securing them plenty of kills. This is potentially Dimov's last NA DLNS series, and he certainly made his mark in the NA scene. eidorian's
The Doorman had some good plays, but Melee Creeps couldn't capitalize on them. dew also put up a good fight against Floormen with his
Apollo, doing his best to try and turn tides in several team fights before they fell to Floormen.
Game 2: Floormen remains on top
Floormen played together flawlessly. It's hard to single one person on their team as being the most impactful, or the MVP. Whether it was picks from Dimov's
Paradox, or rocker's
Lash pumping out damage, Floormen took control together. They only allowed Melee Creeps to have one urn turn in compared to their three, furthering the soul lead they maintained nearly the entire game.
An honorable mention goes out to dew's
Celeste, somehow managing not only the most souls on a single hero out of the entire lobby, but the most player damage as well.
What's next for these two teams? Only time will tell, but we have some pretty large tournaments coming up this second half of May, including the Death Slam Invitational NA #3 for a $10k prize pool, and the newly announced Night Shift Open, with a $12k prize pool. Both teams were invited to participate in the finals of both events.
