Comrade José
OT entered APAC Pro League Season 9 as the main favorites. They had won every APAC Pro League title this year plus three editions of the APAC X General Cup. Beyond that, OT had won the last three clashes against AUSKR.
First Day
On the first day, OT made a perfect run, winning all their games, including a 2-0 against AUSKR in the winners’ bracket final. However, they had some trouble against Pig 8 and in the second game versus AUSKR. Against Pig 8, they needed to overcome a 20k soul deficit. Despite the perfect record, some weaknesses could be spotted, showing they weren’t a flawless team.
Second Day
AUSKR started the second day by clashing against Pig 8 in the lower bracket final. They had an electric first game with two comebacks and both teams pulling a rabbit out of a hat. However, AUSKR laughed last in a huge mid-boss fight despite a 20k soul disadvantage. Pig 8 didn’t have much left in the tank for the second game and saw AUSKR reach the Grand Final without much resistance.
Once again, and for the last time this year, OT and AUSKR met in an APAC Pro League final. AUSKR came prepared to have a different result this time. In the first game, they led from start to finish without major problems. But things got hotter in the second game. OT had the lead throughout the match until the 25-minute mark. AUSKR contested the mid-boss attempt as a last resort; the duo of hong’s
Yamato and Jai_Stacked (VOTE APOLLO)’s
Solomon secured all the rejuvs for the team, and right after, they wiped OT. With the advantage and the momentum, AUSKR kept the ball rolling to finally beat OT and claim the APAC Pro League Season 9 title.
