Work in Progress managed to win their qualifier game against Bird with Clock, which was no small feat in their first Night Shift showing. This allowed them to advance to the money match against Melee Creeps.
Game 1: A slow but steady win for Melee Creeps
With eidorian gone this week, Melee Creeps called upon Dimov to sub in for him. Work in Progress also had POSHYPOP subbing in for them tonight.
Work in Progress snagged a couple of urns this match, and even were the first ones to take a Guardian away from Melee Creeps. The game was relatively even for a while, with Work in Progress putting up a good fight until shortly after then 20 minute mark where Melee Creeps secured Mid Boss and used the rejuvantors to apply pressure onto Work in Progress, securing the win.
Division managed to secure top player damage on
Ivy, out damaging even JonJon's
Venator. However, about 9,000 or so of this damage came at the very end from Entangling Thorns when Melee Creeps were fighting in Work in Progress' pit. Still, an impressive amount of damage to come out of a support hero.
Game 2: Melee Creeps closes the series out.
Dimov played a text book
Grey Talon as much as one can on EU to NA ping, helping Melee Creeps secure first place in DLNS this week. Division had another outstanding
Ivy game, out damaging JonJon's
Venator in player damage again.
We cannot ignore the impact that JonJon's
Venator and fishcake's
Victor had on sieging Work in Progress' base, both raking in over 20k each in objective damage. Work in Progress almost closed the 10k soul gap Melee Creeps had going early on in the match, but couldn't managed to compete and lost in the end.
It was a great showing for Work in Progress, and since they won the qualifier match, they will be invited back to DLNS next week to compete for their chance to proceed to finals for a potential rematch against Melee Creeps.
