Death Slam Invitational NA #3 took place last weekend on a new patch. Melee Creeps surprised everyone and snatched the trophy. To be fair, the team has been quite consistent in the last few weeks; however, they weren’t the big favorites. They beat the two top favorites, Floormen and Lowkey W.
This week in DLNS NA #40, MLC will try to keep their momentum going. First, they play against FPS Lounge, who played very poorly last week and will seek to recover their gameplay. Floormen, on the other hand, expect to remain at the top, but they will need to show they are better adapted to the changes this time. MLC knew how to take advantage of the changes, mainly by abusing the new urn. Will Floormen fight back this week, or will MLC establish themselves at the top of the region?
MLC vs FPSL
The match brings together the biggest positive surprise – MLC – and the negative one – FPSL – of the weekend. MLC seems to be the best team since the changes, as they proved by winning the Death Slam Invitational NA #3 in a very convincing way. MLC made their way all through the winners bracket and swept Lowkey W in the Grand Finals. On the other hand, FPSL lost both of their series 2-0 against Lowkey W and Chubby Bunnies, being the first to be kicked out of the tournament. This week, it is very unlikely that they will show anything much different, so it should be a smooth path for MLC – unless external things happen, like eidorian’s internet issues.
Floormen
Floormen were surprised by MLC abusing the urn changes last week. They also saw Lowkey W beat them with two identical drafts in the losers bracket finals. This week, they will put the adaptability of the Floormen roster to the test for the new changes. They shouldn’t be surprised this week since they had time to train and test things.
