APAC league is being the key place for Asian players to stand out

The APAC Pro League is back for its seventh season, and this time the organizers are shaking things up with a significant structural change: APL7 will feature two separate divisions.

The decision comes after internal discussions and community feedback, aimed at creating fairer matchups from the very first round. With the APAC Deadlock scene continuing to grow, splitting the competition ensures that teams of all skill levels can find competitive games without getting steamrolled early in the bracket.

What's New in Season 7

The dual-division format is the headline change here. Rather than throwing everyone into a single pool where newer teams might face established rosters immediately, APL7 will segment competitors to create more balanced competition throughout the tournament. It's a smart evolution for a community-run event that's clearly listening to its player base.

Season 7 kicks off on April 11th, giving teams a few weeks to get their rosters sorted and practice together.

How to Sign Up

Registration is open now with two paths depending on your situation:

  • Full teams can register together through the team signup form
  • Free agents have a separate form to find teammates or fill out rosters
The organizers emphasize that signups remain open to everyone regardless of skill level or location—a welcoming approach that's helped APL grow into the premiere community tournament for the region.
