Bunny with Clock nearly wins game 1 but falls to Melee Creeps

Melee Creeps kept their NA Night Shift run going, taking the North American Deadlock Night Shift Championship match 2-0 over Bunny with Clock in the best-of-three. The win gives Melee Creeps eight NA Night Shift titles and moves them to 14-2 across their last eight NA Night Shift events—with the only two losses in that stretch coming against Bunny with Clock (Night Shift #20 and #17).

Map 1: Bunny with Clock had the kills — Melee Creeps had the economy

On paper, Map 1 looks like a nail-biter, and it played that way. Bunny with Clock held control for long stretches, and at multiple points the match felt like it was slipping away from Melee Creeps—even to viewers, fans, and the commentators.

But the closing story wasn't the kill feed. It was the Souls.

Melee Creeps came out on top with a 43-40 edge in kills, but the bigger gap was the economy: 221.5k Souls to 182.7k, a 38.8k advantage that let Melee Creeps stabilize, take back space, and finish the map.

JonJon was the anchor for Melee Creeps: 10 kills, 23 assists, and the lowest death total on the team at 4. On the other side, Bunny with Clock got solid output across the board, with coolcheese leading their kill count at 9—but it wasn't enough to overcome the Souls deficit.

Map 2: Close again… until it wasn't

Map 2 followed a similar rhythm—tight, back and forth, neither team giving much away—right up until the final minutes. That's when Melee Creeps finally created separation, took control of the map, and closed the series.

eidorian was the headline stat line for the winners: 13 kills, 2 deaths, 15 assists. For Bunny with Clock, Arctic was the standout, finishing with 7 kills, 4 deaths, 7 assists, plus a team-high 42.8k Souls.

Series MVP: JonJon

Across both maps, JonJon was the best player in the series and the MVP, putting up 20 kills, 6 deaths, 36 assists, and 82.8k Souls. Arctic was Bunny with Clock's top performer overall, but the sweep didn't give them much margin to work with.

Challenger note: Bunny with Clock's path to the final

Bunny with Clock reached the championship by winning the single best-of-one Challenger match, beating first-time Night Shift participants "No Earnings." It's the kind of new entry the community tends to rally around, and it'll be worth watching how that group develops from here.

For now, though, the top of NA Night Shift still runs through Melee Creeps—and the one team that's actually tagged them recently is still Bunny with Clock. If they meet again, nobody's going to treat it like a foregone conclusion.
